Foodgrains stored unprofessionally

40pc foodgrains stored unprofessionally in India: Assocham

Industry chamber Assocham has said that about 40 per cent of government's foodgrain is stored in an "unprofessional" way. Assocham says that there is acute shortage of storage capacity to the tune of 35 million tonnes in india. It said that an additional 35 million tonnes of storage capacity is required in the 12th Five Year Plan (2012-17) period.
