Thieves use various techniques to steal, depending on the scheme of theft or the tools or methods used in it. But have you ever heard of a thief trying to steal? A similar shocking case has happened in Bopal area of Ahmedabad. The 34-year-old lost weight by dieting to steal from the former owner’s home. The man weighed in to avoid a CCTV camera in the front and back doors of the house and to slip inside the house through the window.
To steal from his former employer's home, a 34-year-old domestic help worker went on a diet for three months to lose some kgs. Even after he left his job two years ago, Moti Singh Chauhan remembered the most vulnerable spot at his ex-employer's residence in Bhopal – a glass window.
But to slide through this glass window he needed to be slimmer and he knew that with his current body weight this wouldn't be possible. Thus he went on a very strict diet to get into the required shape.
A few months ago, Chauhan came to know that the family is going on vacation for a few days, this is when he made the plan to go on a diet for three months.As he knew where all the CCTV cameras are located, he dodged all the surveillance cameras and reached Maradiya’s residence on his bicycle. He used his tools to cut open the window glass and slid through it. After this, he stole cash and jewellery amounting to Rs 37.14 lakh.The police, however, couldn't find anything on CCTV but they did find a brand-new cutting tool at the scene of the crime. This led cops to conduct inquiries at the hardware shops in Bopal and Thaltej. One of the shop owners identified the tool through his shop’s barcode sticker.The police then found out Chauhan on the hardware shop's CCTV footage and nabbed him.This was nothing short of genius.For Latest Updates Please-
