The novel coronavirus pandemic continues to wreak havoc on the sporting calendar, with almost all sporting activities across the globe coming to a complete standstill. The 2020 Tokyo Olympics was the latest sporting spectacle to be postponed. While many sports personalities have taken to social media to show how they have been coping with self-isolation, many others have come forward and donated lakhs of rupees to fight the pandemic.

Here is a list of all those who have donated.
 
Hima Das donates her one-month salary 
Ace Indian sprinter Hima Das has decided that she will be donating her one month's salary to Assam government's coronavirus relief fund. She will be giving her 1-month salary to Assam Govt. in Assam Arogya Nidhi Account which is established to safeguard the health of people in the ongoing coronavirus crisis. 
 
Sania Mirza vows to make a difference
Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has pledged to raise funds for daily wage workers as India continues its fight against the deadly corona virus. As several sectors have taken a massive hit during the virus spread, many daily wage workers are finding it hard to support their respective families. "Together with Safa and a few other people we hope to help as many families as possible in this difficult time and make a little bit of a difference," she added.
 
Gautam Gambhir donates Rs 50 lakh to Delhi government hospitals
Cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir donated ₹50 lakh to make sure citizens are given adequate equipment to fight coronavirus. The former opener wrote to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to donate money from his MPLAD fund. 
 
 
“In furtherance of the united effort to save our city and citizens from this pandemic, I would like to pledge ₹50 lakh from my MPLAD fund for equipment that may be needed for Covid-19 treatment in state government hospitals," Gambhir had said. 
 
 
Sourav Ganguly donates rice worth Rs 50 lakhs
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly has come forward to provide food for the needy and the underprivileged during the coronavirus pandemic in India. Ganguly has joined forces with a rice major to support those affected in the wake of the deadly virus. "Hope this initiative of Ganguly would encourage other citizens of the state to take up similar initiatives to serve the people of our state," the statement from the company added. 
   
 
PV Sindhu donates Rs 5 lakh each to Telangana & Andhra Pradesh government
World Champion shuttler PV Sindhu has donated Rs 5 lakh each to the Chief Mibister's Relief Funds of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to fight the coronavirus pandemic. "Please stay safe #stayhome We are a great nation and in this very difficult time let’s all fight together and overcome this #COVIDー19," Sindhu said in her special message to Indian citizens as the nation continues to fight the deadly coronavirus amid the 21-day lockdown.
 
 
Bajrang Punia donates 6 months' salary
Star wrestler Bajrang Punia has donated his 6 months' salary towards Haryana's coronavirus Relief Fund. The wrestler made the official announcement on Twitter. "I have donated my six months' salary towards the relief fund for COVID-19 patients set up by Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar,"  the 2019 World Championship bronze medallist said. Punia's contribution was also haled by Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju.  
 
 
'God of Cricket' comes forward to fight coronavirus
Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar on Friday donated Rs 50 lakh to fight the coronavirus pandemic, which has so far claimed 20 Indian lives and wreaked havoc globally. 'While he has been regularly posting videos to create awareness, Tendulkar has decided to contribute Rs 25 lakh each to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund and Chief Minister's Relief Fund,'a source told IANS.
 
Pathan brothers donate face masks  
T20 World Cup winners with Team India in 2007 - Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan have come up with an incredible humanitarian gesture of donating over 4000 face masks to the ones who are in desperate need for protective gears in Gujarat. Spreading awareness through his social media accounts, Irfan revealed that the Pathan bothers will be donating thousands of face masks to help people fight the coronavirus pandemic. Pathan asserted that the masks are donated on behalf of the Mehmood Khan Pathan Charitable Trust which is run by his family. 
 
MS Dhoni donates to help sustain 100 poor families in Pune amid lockdown
Daily wagers are left with an uphill task of feeding their families amid the 3-week lockdown imposed by the Central government to fight coronavirus. To help the poor sections of the society, Dhoni has donated Rs 1 lakh through a crowdfunding website Ketto to the Mukul Madhav Foundation.
 
Earlier, Dhoni's wife Sakshi posted a message through her Instagram Story where she urged citizens to come forward and donate to the foundation. According to foundation numbers, Dhoni is so far the highest donator and the Ranchi legend has helped the public charitable trust to reach near their goal ofa achieving Rs 12, 50,000 for the humanitarian cause.
