The winter chill is finally on its way out in Uttar Pradesh as in the last 24-hours, the mercury has risen significantly, the weather office said on Friday morning.
Director of the Regional Met Office, J.P. Gupta said the temperatures would soar in the coming days and the chill would be restricted to only early mornings and late evenings.
The remnants of winter are attributed to the humidity in the air and some snowfall in neighbouring hill state of Uttarakhand.
The minimum temperature in the last one day was 12 degrees Celsius and the maximum is expected to be 27 degrees Celsius.
This was 1-2 notches above the normal temperature for this season.
Minimum temperature in Jhansi was 14.3 degrees Celsius, Agra 13.2, Kanpur 12, Gorakhpur 13 and Allahabad 12.7.IANS For Latest Updates Please-
