Chhattisgarh police have arrested nearly 10 Naxals believed to be invilved in Suka attack where, 25 Jawans were ambushed and killed. One of those said to be a minor.
As far as CRPF is converned the mastermind behind the operation said to be out of police reach. All naxals were arrested from Chintagufa 20 kilometers ahead of the location where all 25 jawans were killed.
The information was also shared by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in a report to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
In the joint operation by CRPF and state police, a light machine gun (LMG), a semi-automatic US made rifle, an AK 47, a self loading rifle (SLR), three INSAS rifles, six other guns and some communication gadgets were seized from a hideout.
In neighbouring Jharkhand, security forces today recovered a cache of over a dozen arms and more than 3,000 rounds of ammunition as part of an anti-Naxal operation in Lohardaga district.
Sources in the CRPF, senior officers in the force felt that its men were let by Chhattisgarh Police who failed to provide intelligence on a possible attack.
On 8th of may a review meeting will be held in Delhi in which police officers from all the near by state will attend. Minister of state (Home affairs) Hanraj Ahir is present in Sukma and looking forward the situation with police officers.
