RSS advises Modi-Shah to engage opposition on CAA, Govt says, 'We have' Last Updated : 17 Mar 2020 03:03:21 PM IST RSS (file photo) Soon after the RSS urged the government to convince the opposition on the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Union Minister Shripad Naik assured them on Tuesday that they already have done so.
"We have made everyone understand. We have told them (the opposition) that if you have any doubt, lets sit face to face and clear it. We don't have anything to hide," said Naik and added that a debate has also taken place on the floor of the House. This comment comes in the aftermath of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) urging the union government to initiate a dialogue with the opposition parties to dispel all doubts over the amended act, even as it welcomed it."It is the duty of the union government to clarify all doubts of the opposition parties. As the ruling party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah should initiate dialogue in this regard," said RSS Sarkaryawaha (general secretary) Suresh "Bhayyaji" Joshi.IANS Bhopal For Latest Updates Please-
