India is reeling under heat waves with maximum temperature in most parts of the country recorded above 40 degree Celsius.
Heat wave alert has been issued by India Meteorological Department over Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana for next 3-4 days.
Where IMD has predicted thunderstorm warning over Bihar, West Bengal Assam and Meghalaya, cyclonic storm 'Maarutha' has been forecast at few places in Odisha.
It was a hot Tuesday morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded at 24.9 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 41 degrees Celsius.
