Rahul congratulates Modi, says Congress will continue its fight Last Updated : 15 Mar 2017 03:35:01 PM IST (file photo) Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP for the party's victory in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand assembly polls and said the Congress will continue its fight till it wins the hearts and minds of people.
In a series of tweets, Gandhi also congratulated Punjab Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh for the party's victory and said it was a mandate for brighter future of the state.
"I congratulate Shri Narendra Modi and the BJP on their victory in Uttar Pradesh & Uttarakhand. I thank everyone in Punjab for their immense faith and support. This is a mandate for a brighter future for Punjab and its youth," Gandhi said.
"My heartiest congratulations to Capt Amarinder Singhji & all our party workers who worked tirelessly @capt_amarinder," Gandhi posted.
