Election commission announces polling dates for assembly elections in 5 states. Polling starting from Feb 4 2017, counting of polls for all 5 states will take place on March 11th.
Goa will vote in one phase. Polling date for Goa's 40 assembly seats will be on Feb 4 2017.
Punjab will also vote in one phase on Feb 4 2017. Whereas elections in Manipur will be in 2 phases; phase 1 polling on March 4th abd phase 2 polling on March 8th.
Elections in Uttarakhand to be held on Feb 15th in single phase.
Elections in UP will take place in 7 phases, UP assembly polls dates are; Phase 1 Feb 11, Phase 2 Feb 15, Phase 3 Feb 19, Phase 4 Feb 23, Phase 5 Feb 27, Phase 6 March 4, Phase 7 March 8.
Over 16 crore voters will vote in 5 states.
Electoral roll of Goa will be published on Jan 5, Manipur on Jan 12, Punjab Jan 5, Uttarakhand on Jan 10 and UP on Jan 12 said CEC Nasim Zaidi.
