India is now the second largest user base of Facebook

Facebook has revealed that India has become its largest user base after United States, with the mobile market and better internet coverage driving growth. More than 100 million users in India are now using Facebook out of the 1.2 billion people that populate the country. India has 164.81 million Internet subscribers, with more than half logging in from their mobile phones. India could soon overtake the US as the country with the most Facebook users. As growth in the West is slowing down, Facebook is turning its attention to emerging markets like Asia to drive growth. Facebook has more than 1.23 billion users globally.
