Reasons why India lost in England

Pics : There are several reasons for India

The much talked about generation next has simply failed in England yet again. Unlike last time where it was 4-0 , it was 3-1 for India at England. The win at Lords gave hope . But soon after the fortunes tumbled pretty fast and in the end it was yet another humiliation for Team India. For coach Duncan Fletcher and Mahendra Singh Dhoni combine it was their fifth away series loss since 2011 . for Dhoni , this series loss has once again taken the sheen away from his captaincy. Tha captain with the midas touch seems to be losing his midas touch rather quickly. Just look at the away record. It is horrendous - Matches - Tests - 28, Lost - 14 , wins - 6 , Draws - 8 . But at home all is well Tests - 58 , Wins - 27 , Lost - 17, Wins - 27 , Draws - 14. After the loss , everybody is gunning for Mahendra Singh Dhoni to quit as captain. But the big question is Dhoni replaced by whom? It is going to be very brace move if India goes to Australia later in the year with a new captain at the helm. Remember There was lot of hue and cry after India were whitewashed by identical 4-0 margins in England and Australia last time in 2011. India's vice- captain of the victorious 1983 World Cup winnig team Mohinder Amarnath , as selector wanted Dhoni to be sacked as skipper after the routs in England and Australia but was instead sacked from his job but then BCCI preisdent N Srnivasan. Mohinder Amarnath, a former India selector, had said it was the BCCI president, N Srinivasan, who overruled the selectors' unanimous call for sacking of MS Dhoni as captain after the two whitewashes in England and Australia. "The Board President did not approve the unanimous decision to replace Mahendra Singh Dhoni," Amarnath told CNN-IBN. So, Srinivasan , is now the ICC chairman and still calls the shots in the BCCI and nobody has the guts to oppose. So removing Dhoni it not at all an easy one. So will Sandeep Pateil and his fellow selectors and most importantly BCCI take a call on Dhoni's captaincy? Going by the past instances it is very doubtful indeed.
