PICS: Hindi Satirist K P Saxena passes away in Lucknow

A brilliant writer Saxena wrote for almost all popular magazines and newspapers. His first book on satire 'Koi Patthar Se Na Mare' was published in 1982. Saxena had command over three languages-- Hindi, Urdu and Awadhi. He had written the dialogues of many popular Hindi films, including Lagaan, Swades, Hulchul and Jodhaa Akbar, which was also nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Dialogue. K P also wrote a popular serial 'Bibi Natiyon Wali' for Doordarshan which also has the fame of being the first soap opera.
