Devotees worship Goddess Kalratri on seventh day

Navratri Day 7: Devotees offer prayer to Goddess Kalratri

The auspicious nine-day long Navratri festival began on Saturday, 1st October and Goddess Kalratri is worshiped on Day 7. Navratri is celebrated to worship nine different forms of Goddess Durga - Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skanda Mata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Maha Gauri and Siddhidatri. This form of Goddess Durga is addressed as Kalratri. Goddess Kalratri complexion is dark black and She rides on a donkey. She is depicted with four hands. Her right hands are in Abhaya and Varada Mudra and She carries sword and the deadly iron hook in her left hands.
