Mathura celebrates Lathmaar Holi

Thousands of people witnessed 'Lathmaar' Holi of Barsana in Mathura on Sunday. The 'Lathmaar Holi' marks the beginning of colourful Holi festival of Brij Bhumi region. The Rangili Gali of Barsana presented a peculiar sight in the evening, when baton wielding women of Barsana attacked shield holding men from Nandgaon, amidst chanting of Rasia song 'Fag Khelan Barsane Aye Hain, Natwar Nandkishor'.
