Akshay Kumar offered Congress ticket from Delhi seat

Congress wanted Akshay Kumar to contest from Chandni Chowk

Given his huge fan following in Delhi, especially Chandni Chowk from where he belongs, Akshay Kumar could have easily defeated his competitors. Akshay’s father-in-law actor Rajesh Khanna contesting on Congress ticket swept the poll in 1992 Lok Sabha election from New Delhi.
