Another feat for Anupam Kher

Anupam Kher has been appointed UN ambassador for gender equality.The 60 year-old actor has been named as an advocate for the United Nation's 'HeForShe' campaign, which works to promote gender equality.The 'Daddy' star revealed that he would be taking up the role on his Twitter account, where he thanked UN Women for honouring him, and promised to "work tirelessly for gender equality".The 'HeForShe' campaign aims to achieve worldwide gender equality and women's rights by engaging men and encouraging them to take action against the inequality faced by women and girls.Speaking to PTI, Anupam Kher said: "Most important is that you have to start the change at home. You have to know how to treat your daughter, and it should not be any different from the way you treat you son."
