Aishwarya wants to be known as national actress

Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been the face of Indian cinema internationally but the actress says she is happy being known as a national actor. "We are just national only. When I am introduced abroad there is reference to Miss World or international beauty title or international presence," Aishwarya told at the trailer launch of "Jazbaa". "I am very thankful for the opportunities. When we did this film (Jazbaa) we were happy to come on board as actors,"she said. Aishwarya thinks it is an exciting time in cinema for the audience as well actors as different kind of films are being made today."Every movie that we make we hope it appeals to the audience because it is made for them. There are variety of subjects that are appreciated and enjoyed by the audience," Aishwarya said."And that makes an exciting time for us in movies. It is exciting time in cinema and we creative people are very grateful for it. We too get to enjoy the variety," she said.
