Two people were killed and seven others injured on Thursday in a road accident in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

"The accident occurred when the driver of the taxi the victims were travelling in lost control over the vehicle which plunged into a gorge on the Ukhrall-Pogal road," police added.

The taxi was on way from Ukhrall village to Pogal.

Two of the passengers died on the spot. The injured were shifted to hospital.
