Danish Zoos killing their giraffes

Why are Danish Zoos killing their giraffes?

Another Danish zoo is mulling excommunicating a baby giraffe. Just a few days ago another baby giraffe was slaughtered and fed to the lions by zoo staff in Copenhagen. Coincidentally both the giraffes share the same name - Marius.
