10 things you did not know about WhatsApp founder Jan Koum

Jan and co-founder Brian Acton were denied jobs at Twitter and Facebook five years ago. Destiny it seems decided they would work for Facebook but in a larger capacity than they had imagined. Koum owns about 45 percent of WhatsApp, which would net him $6.8 billion in the Facebook-Whatsapp deal. That figure dwarfs the amount the founders of Twitter received.
