Modi govt hikes LPG cylinder prices

LPG to cost Rs 10 more per month,Train fares to be increased annually

In a bitter dose of another financial burden,The government on Friday also pushed through a steep hike in railway passenger and freight fares in possibly the first instalment of the “tough measures” Prime Minister Narendra Modi had hinted at as necessary to revive the Indian economy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government on Friday hiked the railway passenger and freight fares by 14.2 % and 6.5% respectively.
