Rescue work on war footing, more rains predicted in Uttarakhand

The scenes are horrific in Uttarakhand as the area around Kedarnath, devoted to Lord Shiva has been flattened, with corpses strewn about and no signs of life. Authorities said many corpses were swollen and badly damaged, making identification difficult.
