Tourism in Valley drowned in floods

Floods take its toll, tourism business in Kashmir tumbles 55 pc: Assocham

The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India has said Kashmir's tourism industry has suffered a steep fall of 55 pc. This is mainly because of the worst flood that the state witnessed this year. Importantly, tourism in Kashmir is the largest employment provider. The study on decline in tourism after flood disaster was undertaken by Assocham Social Development Foundation (ASDF) in the last two months, says D S Rawat, Secretary General of Assocham.
