-No one could meet Jayalaithaa bypassing Saikala. Saikala lived in the first floor of Poes Gardens, Amma’s home. Everyone had to first meet Sasikala. So she wielded much power by officially having none. Jayalalithaa along with Sasikala faced corruption charges for spending a huge amount on the marriage of Sasikala’s nephew, who happened to be the foster son of Amma. That powerful was Sasikala.
