Review in pics:

Well there are some things which don't lose charm with time, and they come in the category of Classics. Dil Wale Dulhania Le Jaynge is one such film. And who wouldn't love its tailor-made modern version, especially if it is made with deft and brains? The best thing is that the makers of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania's makers admit honestly that it is dedicated to DDLJ. With equal honesty the debut director Shashank Khaitan has put soul into the movie and not a minute seems overloaded. Full marks to the couple Alia and Varun for pulling the show so well. Kajol and Shah Rukh will certainly agree. The storyline is familiar though the treatment new, specially in the age of Facebook and other Social Networking sites. Alia is an Ambala-based girl from Punjab, who has to marry the boy of her father's choice, played by Sidharth. Father, played by Ashutosh, is very stubborn and very particular about the choices he makes in his life. And according to him the boy he has chosen for his daughter is the best. But destiny holds something else for them. Alia comes to Delhi to buy for herself a wedding lehnga. There she meets Humpty, played by Varun, who is solid Delhi boy. Rich brat who tries his level best to woo Alia. The two fall in love after a few drinks and kisses. Now comes the main challenge, of appeasing Alia's father. And finally the boy wins over his girl after all tricks and efforts.
